Meltem Sozer is an illustration artist whose style is characterized by her use of unique characters and features, vibrant colors and abstract details. Her work spans a variety of areas including but not limited to children’s illustrations.

She has so far illustrated a children’s book of opera stories "Gece kraliçesi kuş adama demiş ki…" (in Turkish). She exhibited samples of her work in François Xavier Bagnoud building of the University of Michigan. She recently was awarded in "Pierpont Commons Annual Juried Competition 2007-2008" of UM and scheduled for a month long solo exhibit in February’08.

Her dominant choice in working media is digital although her work also range oil/acrylic paints, watercolor and ink. She also enjoys working with ceramics and polymer clay.

She currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
