While we adapt to the fast paced technological advances, we are inadvertently leaving some of the precious experiences of the past behind.

As an artist working mostly with digital media, my introduction to wood block types and the short session of hands-on play with them made me realize that there is much left for me to discover in traditional practices of art.

The rich organic texture of the wood type print, the little imperfections that are so hard to reproduce digitally and the inspiration drawn from the whole experience of working with physical media captured me.

I hope one day I can visit the Hamilton Wood Type Museum.
